I can finally announce that I’ve been selected to represent Norway as a Senior actress at The World Championships of Performing Arts (http://wcopa.com/) in Hollywood in July 2019!

It’s very exciting and surreal at the same time! You might be wondering what The World Championships of Performing Arts is and how I was selected to represent Norway, and to be honest, I’m still trying to figure that out.

First of all, WCOPA is a competition or “Olympics” for performers and entertainers held annually in Hollywood, Los Angeles. There are approximately 200 000 applicants from 71 different countries, of which approximately 1600 contestants are chosen. The competition last for 9 days and consists of three rounds and a final.

As already mentioned, I’m representing Norway in the category of acting and my national-team directors are Andre Santagati and Kjetil Paulsen. They are the directors of approximately 20 contestants from Norway and Sweden, and some of the other categories are dance, modeling, vocal, instrumental and variety acts.

The whole journey started on a Thursday evening a few months ago. I was sitting in my room and I came across an advertisement for WCOPA audition. At the time, I didn’t know much about it, however, I decided to apply for the audition anyway. I sent some information about myself, videos of me performing monologues and a few pictures. It was a spontaneous decision and I didn’t give it much thought, however, a couple of days later I was invited to the audition.

The audition was held Thursday evening, one week after I had applied, and on the following Monday, I received the exciting news. I had been chosen to represent Norway as a Senior actress at The World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood.

Everything is still quite new, but I’m very grateful for this amazing opportunity. In the coming months, I will prepare myself for the competition, find sponsors and do everything else that needs to be done. I hope you want to follow me on this exciting journey.
